At UC Berkeley, I graduated with a B.A. in Cognitive Science and minors in Data Science and Food Systems. This combination stemmed from my interest in the complex relationship between the mind and our food system. My studies solidified my passion for making a positive impact on mental health, community wellness, and our environment. They have also inspired me to take a systems-approach when tackling large-scale problems, and equipped me with various tools such as powerful storytelling, critical thinking, and data analytics. I aspire to use values-driven and data-driven strategies to meet the needs of the increasingly conscious eater and shift consumer behavior. I am interested in the intersection of sustainable food and supply chains, marketing, data analytics, and consumer behavior. I have a background in strategic marketing and consulting, data analytics, research, project management, and graphic design.
For the past year, I have been in a Strategic Communications Coordinator at GOOD Consulting Group. I am grateful to work in social impact, and love my job. I am the Co-Director and Lead Designer of the Merchandise Team for non-profit The Farmlink Project. I’ve created two collections containing 15+ pieces authentic to Farmlink’s values and aesthetics — the $15,000 in sales that these items have generated helped our organization move 336,000 pounds of produce to foodbanks in communities in need. This position has driven my curiosity about developing effective and innovative strategies for large-scale change. It has taught me that no challenge is too daunting if empathy, creativity, curiosity, and patience are at the forefront of everything I do.
